Spacious dining space with automatic window openers on high-level windows
It takes over 10 years to plan and build the Lakuri Children's Charity. The campus is surrounded by mountains in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The architectural concept was based on Environment Symbiosis, Local Culture, and Regional Revitalization. It provides a comfortable home for children. One of the essential factors is introducing the fresh air of the mountain into the interior space. Therefore, the building was designed with several #HighWindows. Of course, the windows could be opened by KST Automatic Window Openers.
Windows Of The High-ceiling Room On The First Floor
The spacious room had french windows and a row of high windows on the ground floor. The windows make the space bright and sunny. When the high-level top hung windows open, it will significantly improve the #NaturalVent for the interior.
We installed KST-C01 Chain Actuators as Automatic Window Openers to open a row of high windows together. Besides the natural vent, these window openers are connected to the smoke vent system. It will be opened automatically when the fire system is triggered.
Automatic Roof Windows In The Attic With Chain Window Actuators
We also installed window actuators in the attic—the #RoofWindows design for #StackEffect. According to the stack effect, the heat and moist air will bring out from the roof windows and introduce cold, fresh air from the lower windows.
Automatic High-level Windows In The Guest Room
There are a few guest rooms on the second floor for visitors to stay overnight. The place is also designed with high windows for the natural vent. Keep the room cool without any air-conditioner. Since the windows' width was about 1 meter, we installed KST-C02 dual chain actuators for opening more oversized windows. There is an additional modified insect screen on the windows. Guests can efficiently operate the window by a lower wall switch or remote controller. Enjoy the phytoncide when you wake up.
Automatic Floor Hatch On the Stage
The following photos are of the stage in the church. The Architect also designed #FloorHatches for special performances. With the help of KST-A01 Linear Actuators, we could open the floor hatch electrically. Note that KST-A01 Linear Actuators are built-in #LimitSwitches on both ends. Therefore, the engineers should ensure that the linear actuators can be fully extended and retracted. Note that the motor may be overheated.
